In the final screening of contestants to the 3rd ABS-CBN Newscasting Competition, 10 students from six of the academic programs in the College qualified to join the school level elimination on December 2, 2011 at 4:00PM at the DDC New AVR.

 

The 10 qualifiers are Fhrain Jane Tampus-BSED 4; Issy Caayon-HM 3; Rizalee Oralde-BSN 4; Ian Arbuyes-BSN 4; Cyrinne Joyce Ecle-Psych 3; Koji Shibazaki-RT 2; Arra Kristine Adanza-HM 3; Pia Oris-RT 3; Rugane Francisco Jr.-RT 2; and Zharlyn Basiya-Opto 2.

 

No less than the President and CEO of the College, Prof. Miguel D. Soledad chaired the panel of judges during the screening on November 30, 2011 at the school’s AVR. Other members were Dr. Maria Leah F. Villano, Director for Academic Affairs and Mr. James Dominic G. Gallego, DDC alumnus and grand finalist in the 1st ABS-CBN Newscasting competition.
