Mechanics

 

1. Painting Workshop

 

Interested participants have to attend a seminar workshop on painting do's and dont's on May 06 at the AVR from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

 

Workshop will be conducted by a professional painter.

 

Fee: Php 100.00 Students & Php 300.00 for Personnel.

 

 

On May 22, the same artist will critique and give advice to each participant for improvement and guidance in creating the painting.

 

 

2. Painting Sessions

 

a. Participants will be provided with canvass and art materials.  However, those who prefer to use their own are encouraged       to do so.

 

b. The 2F of the Food Court is the designated painting studio from May 07 - 26.

 

c.  Each participant may go to the studio and create your art piece during your free time.

 

d. There will be five easels available to use; first come first served.

 

e. Painting materials are to be shared courteously.

 

f. May 26 is the last day of the painting session. Work has to be dry and signed.

 

g. Works are to be turned over officially to Life Skills Intake Personnel for proper identification by 4:30 pm.

 

 

3. Judging

 

a. Theme:  Davao Flora: In Close Up

 

b. The Business Director of the dormitel will choose the finalists whose works met the theme requirements.

 

c.  A panel of judges who are knowledgeable in visual arts and interiors will judge the winners. Judgement on May 28 is final.

    Winners will be announced on June 01, 2010.

 

 

4. Prices

 

a. All contestants will receive a certification of participation

 

b. Winners will:

a.1 Have the honor of their works hang in Davao Doctors CAS new Dormitel;

a.2 Receive an award

 

 

5. Return of Paintings

 

a. Winners may reclaim their paintings after three years (2013) from the Dormitel.

 

b. All other participants may sell their paintings from June to July at the 2F Food Court. For details, inquire at the Life Skills Center office.
