             Davao Doctors College (DDC) Admissions Officer, Dr. Lily B. Babayen-on spoke before heads of schools from Indonesia and Davao City at the 2nd Conference-Workshop on Indonesian-Philippine School Partnership Program on June 23, 2010 at the House of Indonesia, Davao City.
 
            Dr. Babayen-on gave an account of the educational partnership with SMA Negeri 1 Subang, West Java, Indonesia. She said that educational travel gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the spectrum of life and it can be a life-changing experience. “It was an encouraging and very promoting presentation”, said SEAMOLEC Training Director Aritonang.
 
            The Partnership Program between DDC and SMAN 1 Subang was an aftermath of the First Conference-Workshop on May 12-14, 2009 in Davao City. A four-man team from Indonesia arrived at DDC for a two-week immersion program from December 1-15, 2009. Consequently, on April 28-May 4, 2010, Dr. Babayen-on planed to Indonesia to conduct career guidance to senior high school students of SMAN 1 Subang and its partner schools, SMAN 5 Bandung, SMAN 5 Denpasar, Bali and the Pribadi Bilingual Boarding School.
 
            The convergence of school heads from Indonesia and the Philippines was initiated by the SEAMEO (South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization) and the SEAMOLEC (SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Center) in collaboration with the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia and the Department of Education Region XI.
 
            This partnership program is envisioned to boost people to people relations of the two countries especially in the educational sector.
