Biology Teachers Association of the Phils.(BIOTA) invited us - Armelen Casalan and I, Sheena Mae Josol to present our research study entitled "THE EFFECTIVENESS OF AVERSION METHOD TO CAPTIVE-BRED WHITE-BREASTED SEA EAGLES( Haliaeetus leucogaster)" in their 45th Annual National Convention held last April 7-11,2010 at Palawan State University,Puerto Prinsesa with the theme: "Biology and the Decade of Education for Sustainable Development".This year's convention theme focuses on the biologists responsibility in creating a sustainable future and in acting for positive environmental and social change through effective teaching and research activities.

Our experience to attend the convention and to present our research study was really a memorable one.We were able to meet students from prestigious Universitites and Colleges in the country. Students from UP,FEU,UST, Ateneo de Manila and other known Colleges and Universities were also chosen as presentors in the convention. We were so lucky because our research study qualified in the screening and was included in the top 10 researches to be presented in the Young Biologist Forum in the national convention. We were able to present our research in poster form and we were also able to witness the research presentations of other institutions. It was really an awesome learning experience.

Last April 10,2010,we had an Ecological Tour . We went to Underground River at Sabang Palawan which is nominated as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. It was an overwhelming eco-adventure experience that we will always cherish in our hearts as students of Davao Doctors College Biology Department. It was first time in the history of our department to participate in a research forum like this and allowing us, biology students to travel and experience life outside Davao City.

Indeed we are so grateful to our school administrators , most especially to DR.RIZALINA M. PANGAN our school president, for the inspiration , financial assistance, for giving us the opportunity to attend the Young Biologist Forum , and to ALL the people who have helped us for the approval of our trip. THANK YOU VERY MUCH! GOD BLESS DDC!
