Davao Doctors College (DDC) won this year’s Datu Green Award for its exemplary program on waste management and its commitment to helping decrease waste’s negative impact on the environment and the community.
The contest was launched by the Philippine Marketing Association Davao Chapter in three different categories such as the Datu Best Green Consumer Product, Datu Most Innovative Product and the Datu Green Award. The DDC entry was judged in the Datu Green category which was actually open to all organizations in the industry or the academic sector.
Dr. Lucila T. Lupo, OIC-Director for Planning, Research and Development, received the Plaque of Recognition during the Datu Awards Night on December 1, 2011 at Marco Polo Davao. Dr. Lupo was accompanied by her staff, Ms. Anna Marie Candari, DDC Marketing Officer and Ms. Josieliza Charcos, Research Assistant. An AVP featuring DDC’s initiatives for a clean and green environment was viewed publicly. DDC tarpaulins and brochures were displayed at the entrance of the venue.
