Derek Dale Bayquen, a freshman Physical Therapy student was declared Regional Champion in the Extemporaneous Speaking Contest in connection with the 4th Mindanao-wide Academic Olympics on February 12-13 at YMCA Davao Gym.

Bayquen shall represent the Region XI in the National Level Competition.

The theme for this year was “Striving Together to Build Young Leaders; Transforming Lives towards Sustainable Communities.
