More than 450 freshmen and new students convened at the Audio Visual Room for a Students' Orientation on July 13, 15 and 16. The 3-day orientation which covered everything from admission to graduation was conducted by the Academic Support Services Department (ASS) under the leadership of Dr. Lucila T. Lupo.
Transition to college can be overwhelming so the annual ASS Orientation is conducted to calm the nerves of new students and to apprise them of the personnel, services and facilities of the college.
Discussion and talks on the DDC's profile, vision, mission and goals, policies and guidelines, student services and school facilities were delivered by the ASS Heads. An open forum followed after each presentation.
Presentors were the heads of the six departments, namely: Dr. Lily B. Babayen-on- Admissions Office; Ms. Eliza M. Suarez-Guidance Center; Mr. Romel L. Tambis - Student Personnel Service; Ms. Lilia G. Gallego - Registrar's Office; Dr. Estela R. Dequito - Library and Dr. Corazon T. dela Torre - Gen. Ed Laboratory.
