Stakeholders of Davao Doctors College convened on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the DDC HM Practicum Center Function Room to revisit the purposes and objectives of the Hospitality Management and Radiologic Technology programs which are due for Level II reaccreditation on February 22-24, 2012.
About 30 participants to include parents, alumni from the industry, officials from adopted barangays, faculty, staff, students, and administrators participated in the focus group discussion (FGD).
Attendees from the DDC management were the Dr. Maria Leah F. Villano who gave the rationale of the FGD, Dr. Lucila T. Lupo, Head-Research Department, Ms. Merced T. Coloma, Community Extension Officer, Dr. Lily B. Babayen-on, Head-Academic Support Services, and Mr. Virgilio E. Abanilla, Head-GSO & Income Generating Ventures (IGV).
Periodic updating of the purposes and objectives is necessary to ensure that the objectives of the respective programs are relevant and in harmony with the national goals and the educational needs of the local, regional and national community. Moreover, all concerned sectors of the academic community must be familiar with program objectives.
