Administrators, department heads, representatives of the faculty, staff , parents, students, school union and alumni convened on February 11 at the DDC AVR for the Tuition Fee Increase (TFI) consultation for School Year 2010-2011. The consultation initiated by the Administratin was pursuant to CHED Memorandum Order No. 14, s. 2005 entitled Guidelines and Procedures to be Observed by Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) Intending to Increase Tuition ans other School Fees and Introduce New Fees.

Prior to the consultation conference, a letter of Advice (LOA) has been sent to the CHEDRO XI informing of the management's intention to increase tuition and other school fees by 10%.

The proposed 10% increase in tuition fees was approved by the body. The allocation of the proposed increase is as follows: 70% of the proceeds derived from the tuition fee increase shall be used for the payment of salaries, wages, allowances and other benefits of the teaching and non-teaching personnel of the college; 20% for infrastructure & development and 10% for Return of Investment or ROI in which 5% is allocated for scholarships.

Meanwhile, DDC shall await for the approval from CHEDRO XI as soon as all documentary requirements relative to the application for tuition fee increase have been complied with. Once approved, notices shall be posted at conspicuous places in the school campus for the information of all concerned.
