The Psychology Program once again hold its 5th Pinning Ceremony and Parent’s Orientation last October 18, 2017, at the New AVR together with the Parents, Faculties, Program Chair and CGEMS Dean. The day was filled with excitement and happiness where every student’s dreamt of this day.
It started with the parent’s orientation, where all parents were present. The Program Chair explained the incoming activities every student-intern has to undergo in their whole second semester. The four settings student interns will take are School Setting, Clinical Setting, Special Education Setting and Industrial Setting. Those areas will have corresponding partner agencies to distribute the thirty (30) student interns for this year.
The pinning ceremony opens with an invocation, national anthem, a welcome message from the Program Chair, and reading of DDC Psychology Program VMG. The presentation of student interns and reading of the significance of Psychology Pin and Internship was presented by Ms. Jenevie S. Mongcal (Psych Instructor), follow with the expectation of student interns represented by Ms. Angelica Garbin. For the Pinning proper, Mr. Leo-Mari Franco Alminaza (Psych Instructor) hosted the student interns pinning ceremony. Afterwhich, a tribute to parents by the student interns with their roses and letter expressed verbally. The AVR was filled with tears and laughter for both parents and student interns. An inspirational message from Venz Joseph Guiguiento, former Psychology graduate year 2016-2017. Lastly, the closing message of our dearest CGEMS Dean, Candida S. Santos, MST, DBA.
The program ends with a song number from the student interns entitled, ‘Today my life begins”.
